Pinellas Dental Laboratory is a full service dental laboratory specializing in cosmetic dentistry. We are committed to serving the dental profession with integrity, precision and quality work. We have been improving smiles for almost fifty years.

Helmut and Helga Mueller founded Pinellas Dental Laboratory in 1953 in Clearwater, Florida. Helmut passed away in 1960 and his brother Kurt Mueller came from Germany and helped Helga keep the business afloat. They steered Pinellas Dental Laboratory through almost half a century of growth and service to the dental industry. In 1979, the Muellers relocated the lab to Oldsmar, Florida.

In 1981 Ralph and Stephen Mueller joined Kurt in the leadership of the company. They decided to follow in their family's footsteps and have made the lab the success it is today. Pinellas Dental Laboratory now houses twenty-one employees and is committed to quality versus quantity. The lab's team is personable and friendly and most importantly they handle all of their own customer service.

Pinellas Dental Laboratory's almost fifty years of experience gives them the opportunity to draw from the techniques of the early days and combine that experience with the most modern technology and techniques used today.

I am a native of Clearwater, Florida. I began working in my parent's laboratory after school cleaning and learning basic procedures. After graduating from high school I attended college classes at night while working full time in the lab. In 1978, I received my bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida. In 1983, I achieved my CDT certificate, and worked my way through the partial and denture departments and the crown and bridge departments. When my brother Stephen, joined full time, we both took over the leadership of the company and I took over the partial and denture departments. It is important to us that we provide quality and not quantity in our laboratory. I have over 25 years of experience and I continue to attend many clinics and programs to stay current with the cutting edge technology and techniques needed to remain at the forefront of the dental industry.

Stephen Mueller, CDT

I was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida. While in high school, I worked part time in my parent's lab. After I graduated I went on to St. Petersburg College and it was there that I decided to follow my parent's footsteps in the laboratory and began to work in the lab full-time. At that point, I learned all tasks and techniques involved in the lab. In 1982, I achieved my CDT certificate and found that my choice and talent lie in crown and bridge. I took that department over and run it today. I handle all aspects of the business from management to all technical processes and now have over 20 years of experience. I feel that we are a unique laboratory because we are dedicated to work that is "hands on" and custom made. Our time and family experience in the business gives us an edge over other dental laboratories. I have combined specialized training with ongoing education and research to provide the highest standard of care in restorative and esthetic dentistry.
